These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of CHRONO and its related services (the "Service"). By using CHRONO, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.

CHRONO is provided by the CHRONO team. These Terms apply to all visitors and registered users of the Service.

CHRONO is a news product that curates publicly reported events into a chronological timeline and produces summaries, audio briefings, and answers to your questions. Content on CHRONO is drawn from third-party publishers and public sources, and portions of it are generated or summarized with the help of artificial intelligence.

We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, and we may limit or restrict access to certain features. We will not be liable to you for any such changes.

You must be at least 16 years old to use CHRONO. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement and that you are legally able to enter into these Terms.

You can create an account by signing in with Google. You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, you should revoke access in your Google Account settings and contact us.

You agree to provide accurate information when you set up your account and to keep it current. You may delete your account at any time from your account settings.

You agree not to:

• Use CHRONO for any unlawful purpose or in a way that violates these Terms.
• Attempt to access, alter, or damage any part of the Service that you are not authorized to access.
• Interfere with the Service, its servers, or the networks on which it runs, or circumvent any rate limits or security features.
• Use automated systems, scrapers, or bots to collect data from the Service without our permission.
• Submit content that is unlawful, harmful, infringing, or otherwise objectionable when using features that accept your input, such as chat or contact forms.
• Reproduce, copy, sell, or resell any part of the Service for commercial purposes without our permission.

We may suspend or terminate access if we believe you have violated these Terms.

Story summaries, audio briefings, and answers produced by CHRONO's assistant are generated by AI and may contain errors or present information in a simplified way. They are intended to help you understand what is being reported, not to replace the original sources.

You should not rely on CHRONO as your sole source for any decision. We link to the original publishers wherever possible, and we encourage you to consult them. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any summary, briefing, or answer, and we are not liable for losses arising from your reliance on it.

CHRONO surfaces content from publishers and other third-party sources, and links out to those sources. We do not control that content and are not responsible for it. Your use of third-party sites is subject to their own terms and policies.

CHRONO, its name, its design, and the software that powers it are owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. The original reporting and content we surface belongs to its respective publishers.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for your personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from CHRONO without our permission, except as permitted by law.

When you submit content to CHRONO — such as topics you follow, questions to our assistant, or messages to our support team — you remain responsible for that content. You grant us a license to use it as needed to provide and improve the Service, including processing your inputs to generate responses and summaries.

You represent that you have the right to submit any content you provide and that it does not infringe the rights of any third party.

You can stop using CHRONO at any time and delete your account from your account settings. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms or if we decide to discontinue the Service or any part of it.

When your access ends, the provisions of these Terms that by their nature should continue will remain in effect — including the disclaimers and limitations of liability below.

CHRONO IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CHRONO AND ITS TEAM WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID US, IF ANY.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain liability limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which CHRONO operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You agree to resolve any disputes in the courts of that jurisdiction, except as otherwise required by local consumer-protection law.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of CHRONO after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
